Tender description

This framework agreement is to provide in-service support, including repair, service, supply and PDS to the STEYR inboard engines which support the fleet, thus providing capability to the user community. All work will be authorised on a task by task basis. The Boats team is responsible for maintaining world wide delivery of safe, capable and available craft to a diverse user community, which includes the Offshore Riding Craft (ORCS) to which STEYR engines are fitted and operated by the Royal Marines. This enables them to carry out their endorsed tasking in roles relating to maritime operations, responsive force, adaptive force, extended readiness and training. This contract is to provide in-service support, including supply, to the STEYR inboard engines which support that fleet, thus providing capability to the user community. This contract is a framework agreement and all work will be authorised on a task by task basis and will include but not be limited to: (i) transportation of engines between the boat's location (both inside and outside the UK) and the contractor's premises; (ii) strip, survey and quotation; (iii) service and overhaul; (iv) rebuild; (v) disposal; (vi) supply of spares. No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement indeed there is no guarantee that any framework agreement will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.
