Long Term Contract for the SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF RAIL CUTTING DISCS

Tender description

This is a call to competition by Iarnród Éireann (IE) for the supply and delivery of rail cuttings discs to its central stores in Inchicore, Dublin 8. IE proposes to pre-qualify a number of suitably qualified candidates to participate in the tender process for the supply and delivery of rail cutting discs. The Rail cutting discs, to be supplied to the following specification: 1. Abrasive Wheel to be specifically for cutting Railway Rail UIC 60kg, 54kg, 85lb, 90lb, 95lb and Bull Head Rail. 2. Abrasive Wheel to comply with standard EN 12413: 2007-Bonded Abrasives. 3. Abrasive Wheel to be compatible for use on a rail mounted Rail Cutting Saw, complete with Wheel Guard and suitable rail clamp. The types of Saw currently used are Stihl MTZ 350, Husqvarna K1250 and Robokatta RDS-14P. 4. Required Abrasive Wheel dimensions: - Diameter: 354mm, Bore Size: 25.4mm, Thickness: 4mm.
