Extended Application period for the Short Breaks and Support and Enablement Approved Provider List

Wakefield Council is continuing with its establishment of an Approved List of Service Providers to deliver Short Breaks and Support and Enablement Services to Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). The Approved Provider List (APL) will remain open for Service Providers to apply for admission however Wakefield Council is working towards replacing the APL with a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS), we hope to have this available in July for application by existing providers and September for new provider applicants. All providers currently on the APL will have to reapply and applications will be assessed on a monthly basis and applicants will be kept informed of progress. Any providers expressing interest in the current APL will also need to reapply for the PDPS when it becomes available. The Approved Provider List will be split into the following types of service: Lot A1 – Individual Support in the Home (daytime and evening services) Lot A2 - Individual support in the Home (overnight – waking and sleeping night services) Lot B – Personal Assistance Lot C – Group Activities 1: Out of school activities term time and weekends Lot D – Group Activities 2: Activities during schools holidays For further information or to express interest in this opportunity please email Childrenscommissioning@wakefield.gov.uk Keywords: SEND, Activities, Support, Enablement
