Construction companies have been and will be adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Pipeline will probably reduce and margins will be even tighter than previously experienced. Profitability will be decided in effective project planning and the efficient execution of that plan. The programme should be designed to equip construction companies with the resources and tools to improve on site performance and profitability post Covid-19. The brief should include a provision for working with a group of individual companies and for working with a project team, including the main contractor and all sub-contractors on a specific project. The brief should also include social distancing delivery mechanisms and post social distancing mechanisms The programme should include the following elements • Introduction to Lean Construction and the Last Planner System • Introduction to Takt Planning • Seeing Waste • Lean Construction Direct Observations Approach on Construction Projects • Going on line for Last Planner and Takt Planning • Last Planner System Weekly Planning Cycle online If the programme can be delivered in discrete units with participants choosing which element to attend then units should be priced individually. If certain units are a requirement before other units can be attended this should also be noted.
