STATE LABORATORY Supply, Delivery, Installation & Maintenance of a Ventilated Balance Enclosure

Tender description

The State Laboratory has a requirement to weigh a range of potent powders to six decimal points of accuracy (10-6 g). A filtered / ventilated enclosure is required that will contain toxic, highly toxic and carcinogen/mutagen/reprotoxin (cmr) powders, in combination with flammable liquids at a level of less than 0.1 ug/m3 and 0.05ppm respectively. The requirement to work to an accuracy of 10-6 g eliminates the use of glove boxes or isolators. The enclosure will contain two balances, one six decimal points accuracy and one five decimal points accuracy. The balances will be supplied by the State Laboratory. The remit of this project is to provide essential equipment required to meet current testing and research activities in The State Laboratory to comply with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (SHWW) Act 2005, the Chemicals Acts 2008 & 2010 and the SHWW (Carcinogens) Regulations 2001 & 2015.
