Tender description
Notice of abandonment of procurement. The Department is notifying you that it no longer intends to continue with this competitive procurement process commenced by the OJEU Notice dated 13 March 2020 under reference 125029-2020 for the concession contract for the management and operation of Quarry House leisure centre, Leeds, for the following reasons: • the immediate need to concentrate resource into the effort to curb the effects in the United Kingdom of the current pandemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the likely need to deploy further resource toward that effort in the coming months; and • concerns that in continuing to carry out the award procedure to its conclusion in the current circumstances there might be limited or no interest in this opportunity and that the potential lack of competition cased thereby might ultimately undermine such economic advantage or value for money which the opportunity might otherwise have brought about. ‘Notice of abandonment of procurement.
