Docklands infrastructure : Monahan Road Extension

Tender description

Cork City Council (the “Client”) wish to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant Engineer Led Multi-Disciplinary Design Team for the design and delivery of the Docklands Infrastructure: Monahan Road Extension. The scope of work includes all Stages: (i) Preliminary, (ii) Design, (iii) Tender Action, Evaluation, Award, (iv) Construction and (v) Handover of Works. The study area is located in the South Docklands area of Cork City. This project aims to: (a) Provide key transport infrastructure that will act as the catalyst for the early development of the adjoining lands within the Docklands area. (b) Provide the first element in the Eastern Gateway Bridge Project, linking the local South Docklands districts, other urban districts and the strategic road network. (c) Deliver facilities for all road users but with particular benefits for bus users, cyclists and pedestrians. (d) Integrate the design with the Marina Park and other proposed and constructed developments along the route of the Monahan Road Extension.
