Tender description

At present a requirement exists for up to 6 seabird surveys in 1 Lot. The Marine Institute requires data on the distribution of seabirds off the west coast of Ireland from the Blasket Is in the south to Erris Head in the north during breeding (June early July), post breeding (late Aug-Sept) and wintering (Nov-Jan) season. Data and imagery will be acquired using digital aerial methods. Deliverables include raw data, imagery, GIS files and where appropriate population estimates for each species. Counts of marine mammals, by species, encountered opportunistically during the survey, should be included. The number of surveys procured (areas, breeding, post breeding, wintering) will depend on costs. Reports of surveys should be submitted by May 2021.
