The determination of critical loads of pollutants is an important aspect of understanding and assessment of the impacts of air pollutants on ecosystems in Ireland. Critical loads data is also important across other EPA work areas, for example as part of the assessment of the impacts of ammonia emissions from intensive agriculture on ecosystems.
