Tender description

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is embarking on a project known as the Minster Close Redevelopment. The site is located at Minister Close, Hatfield, AL10 9JN. The scope of the project is to demolish the existing buildings which comprise 29 flats and 11 bungalows of sheltered housing accommodation and build a state of the art modern sheltered housing scheme comprising 90+ residential units, guest units, external hard and soft landscaping, below ground drainage and services. A two stage procurement process is being adopted and this invitation to tender and the other supporting documents form the first stage where the bidders are requested to provide priced preliminaries and pre-construction design and other services, overheads and profit ready for a stage 2 negotiated contract. The contractor would be appointed at the end of the first stage process and be required to enter into a 'Pre-Construction Service Agreement'. Redevelopment of Minster House.
