Tender description

The University require a supplier to provide Molybdenum-Hafnium-Carbon (MHC). This material is for the manufacture of an isothermal die stack capable of operating within an isothermal vacuum chamber at a temperature of 1 200 ⁰C with loads of up to 2 000 ton. The University require a supplier to provide Molybdenum-Hafnium-Carbon (MHC) for the manufacture of an isothermal die stack. This material supplied must take the form of a Molybdenum based alloy which can withstand and be capable of operating within a temperature range of 1 080 ⁰C and 1 200 ⁰C in a vacuum or inert gas atmosphere. The material must be supplied in the forged and stress relieved condition. The material must not be recrystallised. The material supplied by the appointed supplier must be provided to set dimensions which are detailed within the specification.
