Tender description

Pembrokeshire County Council invite you to submit a bid for a substance misuse service for adults, children and young people on behalf of the Dyfed Area Planning Board for Substance Misuse. In Wales the Dyfed Area Planning Board (APB) is responsible for the commissioning of substance misuse services. The APB is a multi-agency partnership. It is comprised of the six key responsible authorities who are the local authority, the health board, the fire service. We are tendering for a substance misuse service for adults, children and young people treatment service across the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. This service specification sets out the requirements for a drug and alcohol treatment service (to include alcohol, opiate and non-opiates and other drugs such as psychoactive substances and image and performance enhancing drugs) across the Hywel Dda Area Planning Board counties of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. The service will aim to engage drug/alcohol misusers and/or their concerned others in a continuum of care service to reduce substance related harm, health problems and improve psychological, family and social functioning in all domains of the service users, carers and concerned others’ lives across generic and criminal justice service pathways. These services will be recovery — oriented, evidence based and tailored to meet the needs of individuals and communities in order to empower people to lead drug/alcohol free lives where possible.
