Tender description

London Underground Ltd requires a supplier to manufacture and supply air filter elements for the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit of London Undergrounds ‘S’ Stock Fleet. This contract will be awarded on a 4 + 1 year basis to be extended at the sole discretion of the contracting authority. Should you have any issues with the portal please contact ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com, if the issue remains contact KerrieMitchell@tfl.gov.uk The successful bidder will be required to supply air filter elements for the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit of London Undergrounds ‘S’ Stock Fleet. The S-Stock Fleet consists of 133 seven-car ‘S7’ trains which serve the District, Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines and 58 eight car ‘S8’ trains which serve the Metropolitan Line. The S Stock Fleet is the first London Underground (LU) Fleet to be fitted with both cab and saloon Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). The lines consist of both open and cut and cover tunnels sections and as a result the ventilation system is exposed to significant levels of tunnel-dust. There are four types of filter required on both S7 and S8 trains: (i) Fresh Air Filter – Saloon (2 790 installed across S7 and S8 fleets combined) (ii) Return Air Filter – Saloon (2 790 installed across S7 and S8 fleets combined) (iii) Fresh Air Filter – Cab (382 installed across S7 and S8 fleets combined) (iv) Return Air Filter – Cab (382 installed across S7 and S8 fleets combined) For more information on the requirement suppliers should visit https://procontract.due-north.com Interested Parties are requested to confirm this via Procontract (https://procontract.due-north.com/) by 5pm on Friday 24 April 2020.
