Tender description
To identify a drinks supplier to Cambridge Live for all their wet sales, with competitive pricing, high-quality products, effective delivery and investment. 1) Project requirements (a) High-quality stock and competitive cost — we are looking for a reliable supplier with a appropriate range of high-quality stock at competitive cost. We expect products to be high end, they must be delivered with as long a life span as possible to ensure they are at optimum quality, they must be well made and able to be stored suitably and delivered in their prime. We expect to see a depth of knowledge and experience of working within venues and an ability to offer a range of products not just draught brands but also a selection of top brands and low priced alternatives for spirits, bottled beers, wines and soft drinks. (b) Installation, maintenance and servicing — to supply, install, service and maintain the bar infrastructure and equipment to a high standard. The supplier must be able to provide technical support for our bars, in order to ensure it is in a suitable working condition to deliver best quality and fastest service. We need our beer lines replacing on all bars. General servicing and maintenance is best carried out through July-September but we can work with you to allocate other set times as required. Speed of service is a key component to our customers and one we want to continue to improve and develop, we expect the best equipment to assist with this. (c) Mobile bar/bars — provide a mobile bar, infrastructure and equipment for the purposes of running a bar at the Guildhall. We need to be able to offer draught at the Guildhall and therefore a suitable mobile bar structure is needed to enable us to maximise the spend on the bar at various events. (d) Refurbishment of St Johns bar — the design and refurbished of this bar will require fresh thinking to offer something different, something new and fresh but in keeping with the rest of the building. A draught offering is required (not currently available), enhancement of the room and the bar is important as is being a versatile location to allow our variety of events to be able to use for their requirements, whether it be as a standard bar or a sit-down dinner. It is expected that the refurbishment covers the following as a minimum: • new flooring, • new bar top, • new bar fronting, • new menu at the back of the bar, • new sofas and furniture, • coloured lamps hanging from the bar, • draught provision. Cambridge City Council are happy to consider the renaming of this bar (St Johns) with the possibility of linking to your business, for the right brand/product.
