Big Creative Academy is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community. The opportunity of learning and socialising with people from all parts of London with its rich cultural heritage is a vital part of the Academy experience. Big Creative Academy provides food, drink and social spaces for students, staff and other customers, with a canteen and café and kitchen garden. 200 students and staff are served each day for breakfast and lunch. Alongside the outlets the Academy delivers hospitality services that provide food and beverages for meetings and events. In order to support the Academy’s priorities, responsibilities lie with Academy Operations to deliver the essential foundations. Our aim is to make our services the destinations of choice by providing an exciting range of vibrant outlets and food offerings that fulfil the diverse needs of the Academy. We will be leaders in catering and food education, providing a professional, distinctive, contemporary and innovative customer focused service. Our purpose There are three primary purposes for catering at Big Creative Academy: 1) to provide and manage a sociable environment for students and staff to meet and eat together, enabling people from different backgrounds to socialise in accessible surroundings, enhancing the staff and student experience and helping build a strong sense of community; 2) to provide value for money catering services to support the activities of the Academy; 3) to provide a nurturing environment to advise students on food education and well-being.
