Sport Ireland Institute requires a Lead Strength & Conditionaing Consultant

Tender description

As directed by the Institute of Sport, deliver support services to specified high performance sports in the following areas of Strength and Conditioning: 1. Deliver strategic leadership of the Institute’s Strength and Conditioning service 2. Manage the work of other strength and conditioning consultants that may be contracted by the Institute to deliver services 3. Lead Multidisciplinary support teams with nominated sports 4. Work with partners and stakeholders to best support high performance programmes 5. Deliver expert strength and conditioning support services to nominated athletes and sports 6. Provide expert guidance to coaches in strength and conditioning 7. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate rehabilitation from injury 8. Collaborate with other consultants to deliver expert multi-disciplinary support services 9. Deliver other support services as agreed that fall within the competency of the consultant The consultant will provide the following plans and reports: • An annual plan of consultancy activity with defined objectives for approval by the Institute of Sport • Recording of appointments as required • Weekly updating of project / programme / activity logs as required • Quarterly summary reports of progress against agreed objectives • Annual report of achievements against agreed objectives
