Summary of the work Identification of Business properties for differing Councils in our Hub where potential small business rates relief is inaccurate and needs challenging. Latest start date Sunday 1 March 2020 Budget Range payment as a licence fee or as a % paid to the supplier of successfully changed relief levels Why the Work is Being Done to increase business rates income for the local authorities we work with.The supplier must provide accurate information of business properties in local government areas that Powys work with, that have a small business rates relief and where that relief has a risk of being inaccurate. The Supplier must also provide evidence and reports to substantiate any discrepancies identified within set timescales. Problem to Be Solved Councils need to increase rateable values of any properties that have a small business rates relief and they are potentially inaccurate and need to be challenged and potentially amended. Who Are the Users as a local authority we need to be able to access review analysis and evidence online and via reports in respect of challenging and changing reliefs.
