Tender description

The Authority is intending to purchase new equipment with the ability to process and scan SNP microarrays (capable of CNV detection and SNP genotyping). The system must enable batch flexibility to ensure efficient and responsive running of clinically urgent microarray services. Tenders are invited to provide an array system to deliver these services. This system must include all equipment required for processing and scanning SNP microarrays including an automated scanner and any associated analysis software. NHS Grampian (the Authority) is one of the largest health boards in Scotland and is responsible for providing NHS services to over half a million people living in the Grampian Region of Scotland. The Authority’s department of laboratory genetics and molecular pathology provides a microarray service for postnatal/prenatal and oncology patients.
