Tender description
AHDB Potatoes Board require potato storage research services to deliver the long-term sustainability of potato storage capability for the benefit of the GB Potato industry, particularly at a time when storage is threatened by the withdrawal of key chemistry. The potato sector has determined its priorities for storage research over the next 6 years and the trials programme required to respond to the need forms the basis of this tender specification. This is made up of six lots. 1) CIPC Alternatives testing for fresh market storage; 2) CIPC Alternatives testing for processing market storage; 3) CO2 in sealed stores; 4) Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) and Store Cleaning; 5) Variety testing – Dormancy; 6) Variety testing – Ethylene and temperature.
