Tender description

The purpose of the survey is to provide information on the prevalence of Mycobacterium bovis (M.bovis) infection in badgers by means of a post mortem examination and submission of samples for culture, molecular typing and histological examination. The Welsh Government is seeking to procure an all Wales Badger Found Dead and any other Wildlife Contract. The aim and objective of this service is to provide information on the prevalence of Mycobacterium bovis (M.bovis) infection in badgers. This requirement will be met through the collection and delivery of badger carcasses for post mortem examination and submission of samples for culture, molecular typing and histological examination. This data and analysis will provide vital information on the prevalence of (M bovis) infection in badgers and on genotypes present. To facilitate the above the requirement of this contract is to fully manage and undertake all activities in relation to the provision and service delivery of this contract.
