Tender description

The contracting authority is issuing this prior information notice (PIN) to alert the market to a tender opportunity commencing in mid May 2020. Therefore, once the contract notice is published in OJEU and on contracts finder, you will need to express your interest and complete an online submission at www.wolverhamptontenders.com The service will consist of alterative educational provision to compliment mainstream academic/curriculum studies. The specialism and educational focus of the services offered will vary dependent on pupils’ specific needs. The expected outcomes for students/service users include: reduce/eliminate permanent exclusions, reduce fixed term exclusion, re-engagement with learning, improved attendance, improved emotional health and well-being, improved academic attainment and progress and a successful pathway back to mainstream school. At the time the publication of this PIN the authority are unable to determine the value of this provision. It is anticipated that this will become more clear as we work through the market sounding stage. Further details will be available upon publication of the formal contract notice. The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking to commission a range of alternative educational provision which will drive, support and improve students’ engagement and inclusion whilst promoting choice in the local market and delivering best value for money. The service model is anticipated to be established as a framework and will be accessible by both the City of Wolverhampton Council and state education providers in Wolverhampton. The Council would like to engage with potential providers who would like to find out more about the requirements in order to better understand the market capabilities in terms of the ability to deliver innovative approaches for the same and / or similar services. All communication, except anything deemed commercially sensitive will be available to the public via the portal: www.wolverhamptontenders.com. It is important to note that this PIN is not a call for competition or part of a selection questionnaire process. Therefore once the contract notice is published on both OJEU and on contracts finder respectively, you will need to express your interest and complete an online submission at www.wolverhamptontenders.com. This alert is no indication of a commitment to participate in the procurement process nor does it infer any preferential or special status on those individuals and organisations who have participated.
