Tender description

The commissioners seek a provider to offer high-quality and safe tier 3 weight management service for circa 70 patients per annum. The successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver services of a continuously high-quality and will be responsive to the needs of the diverse local population. The provider will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the quality required. The provider will be expected to deliver a high quality tier 3 multi-disciplinary weight management services directly for patients with a BMI over > 50 and following full weight management intervention via local authority services for patients with BMI over 35 who meet the pathway following assessment for tier 3 intervention. The service must be provided by a GP with a specialist interest in weight management, dietician and psychological assessment input in excess of that provided by health trainers.
