Tender description

The RTE access control is currently running on a Vanderbilt Granta system. The system hardware is at various stages of its lifecycle and the software is currently in maintenance mode with no future development planned. This project will facilitate the upgrade of the onsite main controllers and dual reader boards to a common standard – allowing the system controllers to be migrated to SiPass throughout the upgrade. RTE currently have SiPass fully installed on a VM platform with 3 client machines. This has provided a testing platform to provide a proof of concept for the successful migration to SiPass. As this is currently an operational site, with updates happening each day, the contractor will need to keep each system live - Granta & SiPass, as the changeover is being completed. The contractor shall inform RTE of any issues at tender stage as to why the system can’t stay live. All data points to each new MK3 controller will be supplied by others. IP addresses and gateways will be issued by RTE for each new MK3 controller.
