Tender description
The University of Wolverhampton sought to establish a framework of suppliers for the provision of its print management services. This framework agreement will be let for a period of three (3) years (with an option to extend for up to a further 1 year (subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties). The requirement was split into three (3) lots. Bidders could apply for more than one lot. Lot 1: Volume Print (Prospectuses) — awarded to a single supplier. Lot 2: Print Support (General Printing Services) — a framework of a three (3) suppliers. Lot 3: Informative and Promotional Display Print — a framework of three (3) suppliers. Provision of volume print services, mainly prospectuses. Provision of print support services undertaken by a framework of 3 suppliers. Print services will be commissioned on a project and ad-hoc basis and will cover all activities at the University of Wolverhampton. The scope of requirements includes, but is not exclusive to: • posters and leaflets • faculty and department brochures • open day guides • Programme specific literature – degree shows, festivals • postcards and display items • promotional items for direct mail • magazines and reports. Framework of 3 suppliers. Provision of high quality printing services using up-to-date methods of work and printing processes. Whilst ensuring compliance with current and evolving printing, environmental and sustainability standards and initiatives, whilst driving through innovation and value for money in their service offering. Suppliers are required to work on a wide variety of materials ranging from window vinyls to flags, zap stands through to informative hoardings. The University has an ambitious growth strategy that includes investment into new buildings, programmes and teaching. The minimum required scope include the below listed items. Quality informative and promotional display print to include but not limited to: • zap stands • wrapping of University automobiles (i.e. buses, vans) • printed floor stickers • vinyls (door, window, lifts in varying sizes) • pop-up systems (in differing sizes) • flags • building signs • illuminated signage • directional signs • banners • a-boards • bespoke large format structures (i.e. for use at specific events).
