Preparation of Strategic Environmental Assessment, Appropriate Assessment and Strategic Flood Risk Assessment for the Roscommon County Development Plan

Roscommon County Council seek to appoint consultants to carry out: 1. Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), 2. Appropriate Assessment (AA) and 3. Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) of the Roscommon County Development Plan 2021-2027. The RCDP may incorporate a number of areas plans for settlements in the county which will include land use zoning. A minimum of five will be incorporated. The Plan will also set out the planning policy framework which will guide the future Local Area Plans (LAPs). The Planning Authority reserves the right to include additional settlements and the Tender should include the costs for an appropriately detailed SFRA for any additional settlement above the minimum number. The consultants will be required to work iteratively with the Development Plan team and will be responsible for the implementation and management of all stages of the SEA, AA and SFRA processes in compliance with the requirements of all relevant legislation and guidelines.
