Tender description

This is a voluntary prior transparency notice of BPDTS Ltd’s intention to award a contract from 1 December 2020, without prior publication of a call for competition in the OJEU. BPDTS intends to award a contract for the provision and administration of a defined contributory pension scheme, to the incumbent provider (Aviva Life and Pensions UK) to run until Nov 2026, with a review after 3 years. Aviva Life and Pensions UK provides pension services for BPDTS staff through its participation in the Aviva Master Trust Scheme, entered into in late 2016. BPDTS intends to award a contract to the incumbent provider (Aviva Life and Pensions UK Ltd), for the provision and administration of a defined contributory pension scheme for its employees, to run until November 2026. Aviva Life and Pensions UK provides Group Pension Services to BPDTS through its participation in the BPDTS Pensions Master Trust Scheme. Within the current scheme’s management arrangements, there is a revised process being implemented to ensure the regularisation of employees’ contributions, following resolution of some longstanding standing issues. Aviva Life and Pensions UK are key to addressing substantial process improvements, whilst maintaining current core business and doing so in a manner that is practicable and achievable within revenue budget and staff capacity. At present, Aviva Life and Pensions UK delivers the following services: 1) provide, manage and support a qualifying workplace defined contribution pension scheme for all eligible BPDTS employees; 2) provide support to members and the employer; e.g. providing an online member support service to access annual statements, fund performance and data and investment selection.
