Empty Home Programme

Tender description

As part of the Empty Homes Programme, some owners of long term empty properties have left without providing up to date contact details including a correspondence address so contact can be difficult. Other long term empty properties are also part of a deceased estate and require some investigation into finding who the next of kin to the estate is. This can be time consuming and lead to a negative result however Fraser and Fraser offer tracing services free of charge to local authorities which can assist in bringing properties back into use. This will support the reduction in longer term empty properties (5 years plus) over the course of the programme.
