Tender description

In the winter of 2020-21 Hampshire County Council ("the Council") is intending to procure a day-time social care and support service to open early summer 2021 and support the independence, health and wellbeing of Older Adults within a group setting. The service will be based within a purpose-built “community hub facility” within the Romsey Nightingale Lodge Extra-care scheme due to open late spring of 2021.The service will represent an evolution of “traditional” day-service provision, delivering the Council’s emerging vision for a “Living Well” service for Older Adults, including those experiencing dementia. In addition to the Council's funding, the service may need to generate and maintain additional demand and revenue to support its commercial sustainability. The Council is inviting potential providers to an early market engagement event in Winchester on Monday 18th May 2020. Alternative arrangements (i.e.an online virtual event) will be made if the meeting is unable to take place. The Council anticipates running a procurement under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 “light touch regime”. In addition to the market engagement event on May 18th, to help inform the commissioning process there is a short market engagement questionnaire relating to the Living Well service that providers are invited to complete and return by the end of Wednesday 8th April 2020. This market engagement questionnaire is available to download from the In-Tend project (reference AS15372) and to return via uploading to the same project AS15372. To access the market engagement questionnaire please register an interest in project AS15372 by following the guidance in II.2.4 below. It is neither the intention nor the purpose of this market engagement activity to confer any advantage in any future procurement process upon those participating in the market engagement event or responding to the market engagement questionnaire.
