The Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) are procuring for a provider to deliver the Get Enterprising – Start-Up and Early Stage Business Support Programme; a targeted programme of support to bolster and deepen the support currently available to start-up and early stage businesses in Hertfordshire. The ‘Get Enterprising – Start-Up and Early Stage Business Support Programme’ is a targeted programme of support to bolster and deepen the support currently available to start-up and early stage businesses in Hertfordshire. Beneficiaries of the support will be early stage businesses with the potential and appetite for growth, who may not yet have reached a state of commercial maturity or readiness to effectively utilise other forms of business support available in Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire’s business population is increasing on average by 3 000 businesses per year, the majority of these being new business starts that have different needs to those of mature businesses. Whilst Hertfordshire has both business start-up and Growth Hub services, these are not of a sufficient scale to address the significant gap in provision to connect these services. Essentially, bridging the two programmes with bespoke support for post launch businesses to firstly enable them to become resilient in their development phase and then seamlessly connect them to mainstream and scale-up provision – accessed through the Hertfordshire Growth Hub. This tender is to commission a provider to deliver this new connection service, on a three year contract term, from 1.4.2019 – ‘Get Enterprising – Start-Up and Early Stage Business Support Programme’. The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the entire contract term. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be approximately GBP 300 000. The Contract will be awarded for the entirety of its term of three (3) years, with no extension options. Please note that the contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands.
