Tender description

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is seeking expressions of interest from experienced contractors for the delivery of a new British High Commission at .140 Sussex Drive Ottawa, Canada. We are seeking submissions from companies who are capable of acting as principal contractor, taking overall responsibility for construction. Submissions from subcontractors or suppliers for part of the works will not be considered. The site is currently used as a residence for the British High Commissioner and demolition of out ancillary buildings and garages will provide the location for the proposed development. The residence will remain on the site and remain in occupation during the construction works. At this stage, Contractors are not submitting a price for the work, but providing information relating to their company so we can assess their eligibility as a supplier to be able to deliver the works. Submissions will be evaluated using criteria set out in the selection questionnaire and those achieving the highest and acceptable scores will be invited to participate in the invitation to tender (ITT) which will follow a two-stage process. The ITT will include details of the site and description of the work. The proposed form of contract will be the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) 2 Stipulated price form of contract’ as amended by the FCO (Note: this contract and amendments will be made available at the ITT stage)
