Provision of Maintenance / Repairs / Install of Seating Equipment /Tracked Floors/Wheelchair Lifts and Associated Works to the KARE Bus Fleet

KARE request that your company tender for this work to support the Facilities department in maintaining and fitting out its vehicles to the highest standards possible, whilst meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements. KARE intend to issue a contract for 24 months with the option to extend for a maximum of two further 12-month periods. KARE Facilities Department require the services of reputable suppliers who will provide the Maintenance/Repairs/Install of seating equipment and servicing of grabrails/side steps/tracked floors, wheelchair lifts and associated works to the KARE bus fleet. KARE’s current bus fleet is spread out across the Kildare County/West Wicklow border/East Offaly border regions. KARE bus fleet totals 33 vehicles of mixed make and models. These vehicles are used daily to provide vital transport services to around 400 service users. The full list of the current KARE bus fleet is contained in the appendices of this document. KARE consider it an essential requirement of this tender that all vehicles can be delivered to a location within 1 hour – 1.5 hour radius of Newbridge for the provision of necessary repairs/fit-outs etc, in order to minimise disruption to staff and service users. It is not our intention to exclude any potential tenderers, and KARE would be happy to consider alternative solutions in order to accommodate all bidders.
