Tender description

Warrington Public Health (WPH) wishes to secure provision of Library and Knowledge Services support, equating to approximately 8 hours per week, to form part of the knowledge and intelligence function within the local Public Health team. Knowledge and intelligence is crucial in informing evidence-based decision making. Provision of a proactive library and knowledge service which provides accessible, comprehensive quality information in a timely manner is an important component of the full Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence function. WPH currently commissions a Public Health and Healthcare Library and Knowledge Service (LKS) for professionals within Warrington Public Health and on behalf of commissioners at Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The aim of this service is to provide public health and healthcare commissioners with up to date research evidence and knowledge to inform the commissioning and delivery of healthcare, and improve population health. The current agreement includes provision of an Outreach Librarian. This element is to be an integral part of future service provision. .
