Tender description

Tenderers are invited to submit proposals to supply a minimum of 34 front loading washing machines and 34 dryers on sites and fully manage the laundrettes. Hillhead Halls has a total of 2 launderettes each with 16 washing machines and 16 gas dryers. The floor area of each launderette is approximately 75 m2. Elphinstone Road Flats has 1 launderette with 2 washing machines and 2 electric dryers. The floor area of this launderette is approximately 6.9 m2. The equipping and all maintenance and servicing will be of no cost to the University and the University would receive an agreed percentage share (rebate) of the revenue generated by the student usage of the facilities; the proposal will carry no capital outlay to the University. This is an invitation to submit a proposal for equipping and management of Campus Laundrettes for the contract period of 7 years, with an option to extend for two (2) further years, each of 1 year, subject to satisfactory performance.
