Recycle IT is a recycling social enterprise offering recycling services in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow through neighbourhood, charity, community and business collection service for all types of waste electrical, electronic and pure metal equipment. 1 ABOUT RECYCLE IT RECYCLE IT Recycle IT as a not of profit social enterprise which operates under the Community Services Programme (CSP). The programme supports community businesses to provide services and create employment opportunities for disadvantaged people. The Community Services Programme is managed for the Department of Rural and Community Development by Pobal, a not-for-profit company tasked with managing programmes on behalf of the Irish Government and the EU. Recycle IT are one of over 400 social enterprises operating with funding support from the programme in Ireland. Recycle IT is part-funded through the Dormant Accounts Fund managed by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administrated by Pobal. Recycle IT is the only electrical, electronic and metal recycling service in Dublin delivering kerbside, door to door and organisational recycling collections. Services are offered to about 90,000 homes and organisations each year which helps ensure electrical and metal equipment is safely recycled. Equipment collected flows through an authorized and approved recycling supply chain which feeds the circular economy and ultimately reuse. Due to an increased demand for services RECYCLE IT proposes to purchase a collection truck. This truck will be used to collect all types of home and business equipment. The truck will work daily to collect from homes, offices and warehouses to increase recycling efforts while also increasing awareness of our valuable e-waste
