Grounds maintenance services

Tender description

The South East Consortium (SEC) invited you, on behalf of one of our members, Arhag Housing Association, to tender for an estate service grounds maintenance contract. The contract will start in August/September 2019. The contract will comprise of routine estate grounds maintenance services to communal areas. The purpose of this contract is to appoint a competent service provider to carry out works covering estate services grounds maintenance at properties owned or managed by Arhag HA in 15 Boroughs across London and Greater London. All communal areas of the sites are to receive a comprehensive grounds maintenance service. This contract excludes tree maintenance (except removal of epicormics growth and clearance of general tree debris) and work to play areas. The full specification of works and frequencies can be found in the specification and pricing document. The purpose of this contract is to appoint a competent service provider to carry out works covering estate services grounds maintenance at properties owned or managed by Arhag HA in 15 Boroughs across London and Greater London. The works are likely to include but not be limited to: — keeping all estate paths etc. in clean and tidy condition, — keeping gulley grids unblocked, — snow clearance, — gritting in icy conditions, — grass cutting, — shrub maintenance, — hedge maintenance, — weed control, — maintenance of communal areas, — incidental litter and leaf collection, — attending to and creating new flower beds, — treatment of timber frames and seats, — reporting of removal of bulk refuse, — reporting of and removal of graffiti, — reporting of any vandalism, — reporting any damaged asbestos containing materials, — reporting any defect or hazard likely to affect the safety of occupants or visitors, — reporting of abandoned vehicles; and — reporting repair and maintenance items including any hazards like trip hazards.
