Tender description
MOPAC is seeking a grant fund manager. The fund manager will be responsible for coordinating the development of the prospectus, grant award process, and oversight of the successful projects. In addition, the fund manager will be expected to arrange support to prospective bidders, drive the continuous improvement of the funded projects, and realise opportunities to share learning that will support the development of organisations in this sector. As part of the procurement process, the fund manager will be expected to demonstrate a track record of engaging effectively with grassroots organisations from diverse backgrounds across London. In this Police and Crime Plan for London, the Mayor committed to providing access to small grant funding for the development and capacity of organisations that provide support to victims. In 2017, MOPAC confirmed funding to a Victims Small Grants Fund which is now due to end in October 2020. The fund was administered and managed by a separate organisation on behalf of MOPAC and received applications from smaller grassroots organisations who would not otherwise have been able to engage with MOPAC’s larger and more complex funding opportunities. MOPAC is now going back out to market to appoint a fund manager to coordinate the victims small grants fund from 2020 to 2024. The total 4-year budget for the fund is GBP 3 760 000, of which a maximum total budget of GBP 300 800 is for the costs of the external provider to manage the fund on MOPAC’s behalf.
