Tender description

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 and the Irish Horseracing Industry Act 1994. It is a commercial semi-state body that is responsible for the administration, promotion and development of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Ltd (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourse Division consisting of Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse, Navan Racecourse, Tipperary Racecourse and Leopardstown Golf Centre. Cork Racecourse Mallow, while not a subsidiary of Horse Racing Ireland, is closely affiliated with HRI Racecourses Ltd. We also reserve the right to utilise the framework for Curragh Racecourse Limited and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board. The Contracting Authority manages its Risk, Internal Audit, GDPR and Compliance functions in line with existing statutory and legal obligations and regulations. Presently much of this process is performed manually utilising a variety of disparate tools such as MS Word and MS Excel. As part of the Contracting Authorities continuous improvement program, it is their intention to implement a software solution which will deliver a single, unified platform capable of delivering the necessary tools, not only to provide the required functionality, but also to help drive and improve a best practice culture around Risk, Internal Audit, GDPR and Compliance functions across the organisation.
