Tender description

To test and demonstrate the application of Natural Capital Accounting, using the UN System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) approach,within the Irish Seafood sector. This builds on the Natural Capital Accounting Assessment completed in 2019 (copy attached), which described the potential for using the UN SEEA to address a number of challenges and opportunities for BIM and the seafood sector. The project will improve the understanding of the complex relationship between seafood sector activities and the natural environment, to contribute to the sustainable management of the sector and the marine environment.
