Provision of Aeronautical Meteorological Services for air navigation within the Channel Island Airspace

Tender description

Ports of Jersey are responsible for sourcing accurate meteorological services to support Jersey Airport and the Channel Island Airspace. The nominated supplier will provide Aerodrome Meteorological and Meteorological Watch Office services for Jersey Airport and act as the Meteorological Watch Office for Channel Islands Airspace. All services provided are to be in accordance with the following standards and recommended practices (SARPS) of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, EU Regulation (Reg. (EU) 2017/373), the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and the procedures detailed in Ports of Jersey Limited - Air Navigation Services - Manual of Air Traffic Services (MATS Part II), and the UK Civil Aviation Authority Procedures (CAPs) where applicable. Note: Aeronautical Meteorological Routine reports are produced by Ports of Jersey Limited ANS. Outside the hours of operation of Jersey Airport these reports are produced by the Automatic Weather Observation System (AWOS). Currently there is no requirement to provide a Trend Forecast.
