Partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) in delivery of a Greater Manchester Environment Fund

You are invited to participate in a selection process issued by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to enter a partnership for the design, establishment and running of the Greater Manchester Environment Fund (GMEF). GMCA and partners have identified the opportunity for the creation of a Fund exclusively for the benefit of the environment within Greater Manchester (GM). GMCA’s vision is a traditional funding model disseminating donative income in the first instance, but that could grow into a model that can receive alternative, less traditional and more innovative income streams, such as investment. Our vision is that this will swell the funds available and enable access to more projects and at larger scale. The GMEF aims to close the gap between corporate organisations and institutions who either wish or are required to address their negative environmental impact (either as compensation, or to achieve compliance with their objectives) and smaller, grassroots organisations that aim to deliver schemes and projects to improve the environment within GM.
