Mount Congreve Gardens Development, Waterford - Appointment of Wetland Ecologist Waterford City & County Council are seeking tenders from suitably qualified Ecologists with experience in wetland habitat creation. The general scope of works will include: 1. Understanding of the wetlands with respect to the proposed expansion of the visitor centre and car parking. 2. The development of optimum conditions to support ecological habitats (in tandem with a hydrologist that is being procured separately). 3. Increasing the size of the existing wetland from 5-6 hectares up to approx 9 hectares. 4. Increasing the size of the existing lake (approx 0.5 hectare). 5. Make recommendations in terms of suitable species and flora for the proposed habitats.
