This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice and is intended to provide notice of the contracting authorities intention to award a 12-month contract for the provision of children and young people's mental health services across Essex. This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice and is intended to provide notice of the contracting authorities intention to award a 12-month contract for the provision of children and young people's mental health services. This contract is being awarded to the incumbent provider, North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT). The contract will start on 1 November 2020 and will end on 30 September 2021. This will allow the Essex commissioners to properly review the service model, undertaking robust market and stakeholder engagement which will inform a robust procurement process to put in place a longer term contract whilst ensuring continuity of care for it's children and young people. West Essex CCG are the lead commissioner on behalf of the following commissioners who are associates to the contract: — Mid Essex CCG — North East Essex CCG — Southend CCG — Castle Point and Rochford CCG — Basildon and Brentwood CCG — Thurrock CCG — Thurrock Borough Council — Southend Borough Council — Essex County Council.
