Grayfields Sports Ground Community Asset Transfer Lease

Tender description

Grayfields Sports Pavilion and Pitches comprises one of Hartlepool’s most significant outdoor sports facilities with amenities including a 3G pitch (to be refurbished) a modern (built 2009) pavilion building with changing rooms, showers and a first floor community room and kitchen, grass football pitches for both junior and adult teams and a grass cricket oval. It also includes a 68 space tarmacked car park. It is located about a mile north west of Hartlepool town centre in a long established residential area but adjoining Rugby Club premises to the north and Jesmond Road Primary School and allotment gardens to the south. It is now being offered via Community Asset Transfer to let on a 25 year lease. The successful tenderer will be required to maintain a level of community use of the site.
