Tender description

To provide an Integrated Community Gynaecology service for Islington and Haringey patients. This service will deliver high quality community based gynaecology interventions, providing a comprehensive central point of access, triage, assessment, diagnostic and clinical care. The service will be fully integrated with the local health economy; hospitals, community and primary health care services. The service will receive all gynaecology referrals for the area, will review primary care records at referral to support triage and subsequent clinical intervention, and will provide direct onward access to local outpatient appointments and procedures with local hospitals when required. The service will be consultant and GP led through shared governance arrangements with the local NHS acute and community trusts, GP Federations and Practices. To support effective referrals the service will deliver a full training and engagement programme with local GP’s. Services will be provided from local settings across the borough and provide care at evenings and weekends. The contract value published is an indicative sum for the 4 years of the contract (2 + 2). Actual values will depend on activity, with the tariff linked to national PBR tariffs. Tariffs will be subject to annual review.
