Tender description

The requirement is for Kennel space and associated care for seized dogs for Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary. It is a requirement, for protection logistics, operational policing and carbon footprint reduction, that the kennels are located within the county of Hertfordshire. The kennel facility must have the ability where required to individually kennel a minimum of 20 seized dogs. The supplier will need to meet relevant legislation and hold relevant licencing to collect and kennel seized dogs. Fully licenced under the Boarding Establishment Act 1963 and Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. The service must be provided 7 days a week, 365 days per annum (366 days per leap year) appropriate security measures. Please see attached specification document for full requirement details. An audible perimeter alarm 6' (six -foot) fence surrounding kennels and runs suitably qualified adult staff on duty at all times.
