Cheshire East Council (CEC) is seeking a destination management organisation (DMO) to deliver a visitor economy activity plan in support of its visitor economy strategy for Cheshire East (CE) and the area’s destination management. Cheshire East Council (CEC) is seeking a destination management organisation (DMO) to deliver a visitor economy activity plan in support of its visitor economy strategy for Cheshire East (CE) and the area’s destination management. Expectations: — recognised as a DMO by Visit England/Visit Britain, — be a partnership organisation that is able to represent the interests of its members/partners and the visitor economy/tourism sector in CE. Demonstrate a high level of skill in developing and managing such partnerships, — a CEC representative on the DMO Governance Board, — strategic leader in destination development, — lead/coordinate activities under a coherent strategy, — identify opportunities/facilitate projects and funding to maximise the availability/effective use of resources to the benefit of the sector, — engage in activity to deliver the CE visitor economy strategy and incorporate in the DMO’s destination management plan to increase the economic value of the sector.
