Corrib Park Grass Soccer Pitch: Provision of Consultancy Services for Design and Construction of Grass Soccer Pitch at Corrib Park, Galway

Galway City Council (the Client) as the Contracting Authority is seeking to procure Consultancy Services to construct a grass soccer pitch at Corrib Park. The works consist of a grass soccer pitch and associated works including pitch drainage. The pitch development will require suitable fill to be imported to achieve appropriate ground levels. The works will also include surface water drainage and attenuation, ancillary equipment (goal posts, netting, markings, ball stop nets, etc.), public lighting, access footways, car parking, bicycle parking, and access road. The successful consultant’s project team shall consist of the following expertise: 1. Lead Consultant (Sports Turf Agronomist / Civil Engineer) 2. Sports Turf Agronomist (if not Lead) 3. Civil Engineer (if not Lead) 4. Structural Engineer 5. Mechanical & Electrical Engineer 6. Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) 7. Employers Representative The successful tenderer will be required to: • Perform the role of Designer, Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), and Employer’s Representative for the project. • Procure and manage the delivery of third party contracts. • Prepare preliminary designs and costs for the works. • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and cost report for the works. • Prepare tender documents using the relevant Public Works Contracts. • Provide a maintenance / upkeep schedule for the completed works. • Coordinate with the PSCS, the Contractor and the Design Team to prepare the Safety File; and handover finished site to Galway City Council once works have been completed.
