Tender description

Totally Local Company Ltd are a major service provider in the civil engineering industry. Sudden demands can affect our ability to deliver works within the timescales laid down within contracts being undertaken. To ensure Totally Local Company meet all our clients’ expectations, Totally Local Company will be entering into a framework agreement with selected companies to assist Totally Local Company in scheme delivery. This framework will consist of 3 lots which providers can tender for. Lot 1: Major and Minor Civil Engineering Works; Lot 2: Traffic Management Services; Lot 3: Specialist Highways Works. The selected companies will be required to demonstrate their ability to deliver reactive and routine highway maintenance works, individual civil engineering schemes of varying complexity and value. Planned highway maintenance activities. These will be delivered with and or on behalf of Totally Local Company. The selected companies will be required to undertake works throughout Northwest England and need to demonstrate the capability to do this. The selected companies will need to be able to demonstrate their commitment to partnership working with Totally Local Company and share in their vision of providing a reliable, quality, affordable service to all our customers. Totally Local Company Ltd require traffic management services including the hire of temporary traffic signal, traffic management equipment and traffic management crew. Please refer to Appendix C (b) – Pricing schedule detailing a list of our requirements. Below is a summary of the types of works that may be awarded: Specialist fencing — birdmouth fencing, — birdmouth fencing with concrete mowing strip, — post and rail fencing, — tube clamp fencing, — parapet fencing, — concrete panel fencing, — closeboard fencing, — chain link fencing, — stock proof fencing, — acoustic fencing. General landscaping and ground works — construction of new public right of way (PROW) using recycled MoT, Gritstone and timber edgings, — upgrading of existing PROW, — installation of pedestrian gates wooden and metal, — installation of land drainage, — small retaining walls, — ground stabilisation works, — ground preparation and laying turf, — grass seeding, — laying topsoil, — vegetation clearance, — weed spraying. Drainage Surveys — emergency drain blockages and sewer cleaning using high pressure water jetting equipment, — tree root and encrustation debris removal from drains and sewers inspection chambers, — radio detection positioning and locating of drains, sewers and conduits, — CCTV structural condition surveys on DVD with fully detailed reports, condition photos and recommendations, — civil engineering and groundwork’s using, SCATS qualified operatives and managers, — sewer repairs, relays, replacement and provision for new drainage systems, — NRASWA approved and trained operatives for road excavations and sewer connections, — CIPP structural sewer lining, short length patch lining, robotic and lateral cutting, — pressure grouting of abandoned redundant sewers, culverts and pipes, — GRP structural segmental culvert lining installation, — pipe bursting, re-rounding, directional drilling trench-less technology replacement techniques, — environmental compliance and enhancement engineering projects, — watercourse cleaning and re-profiling works, — highway and domestic inspection chambers installed or replaced new inspection covers and frames, — ACO drainage channels system repairs and renewal of units. Tree works — providers must have arboricultural association membership and must provide proof of this accreditation with their submission. Any submissions received from providers who do not have arboricultural association membership will not be considered, — tree removal, — complete deadwooding, — straight fell, — sectional dismantling, — crown thinning, — crown lifting, — dead wood removal, — stump grinding, — construction of tree pits, — planting of trees including underground guying, — tree cutting and pruning, — crown lift tree canopies.
