Tender description

Rochdale is located in the North West of England, situated in Greater Manchester, to the North of Manchester City Centre. The borough is split into 4 townships comprising of Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and Pennines. RBC comprises a total of approximately 4820km of highways, including roadway/footway/passageway, unclassified roads and A, B, C roads of which app 1088km is adopted footpath. The works consists of approximately 3 applications of a herbicide to all of the adopted Highway footpaths (approx 1088km consisting of tarmac, slabs, block paving, etc.), back of path edges, walkways, splitter islands, channel's, ginnels, edges of all metalled roads and all cobbled areas throughout the Rochdale Borough to provide as near to as possible total weed control. The aim is to achieve as close as possible 100% total weed control.
