Steam-generating boilers

Tender description

UKSBS wishes to establish a contract for the manufacture and supply and installation of new steam boilers at the LMB Ares Facility in Cambridge. This contract consists of 2 stages: phase 1 (manufacture and supply) and phase 2 (installation). UKSBS is managing this procurement process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as may be amended from time to time) (the "Regulations"). This is a services contract that has been procured under Regulation 32. The contractor will be solely responsible for the manufacturing and installation of the steam boilers on site. This service will provide vertical steam boilers to meet with the spatial issues encountered on the site. These boilers are also EU compliant. The works comprise of the supply and design of model 4VT 130 in order to meet with the specification provided by KJ Tait based on spatial issues within the LMB boiler areas. Phase 2 of this contract is the installation of the boilers with full liability covered by CFB. The existing boilers will be replaced by 2 new vertical dual fired steam boilers. The boilers shall meet the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/66/EU and shall carry a full CE mark.
